grief & loss counseling.

“grief is not a problem to be solved; it’s an experience to be carried.” ― megan devine

When you endure a profound loss, your world changes. There is no getting back to normal, because the reality you live in is completely different now. You may be experiencing emotions that seem entirely foreign, causing you to question who you are in the wake of such an immense loss. The grief may be so all-consuming that you are left wondering how to make it through even the basic parts of day to day existence. And yet, life appears to be moving on for everyone else—friends and family return to their routines and stop checking in as regularly—while you are left to navigate this unfamiliar alternate reality on your own.

Know that you are not alone in this experience. Grief can be incredibly isolating and my primary concern is to help lift that isolation and support you without judgment about how your grief is manifesting, for how long, or whether it is “normal”— because everyone’s grief journey is unique.

Despite what well meaning friends and family might encourage, you do not have to “get over” your loss. But, I can help you through it—to acknowledge it and learn how to create a life alongside of it. This a place where you will be supported, understood, and given the time and opportunity to express and process every facet of your individual experience at your own pace.
